Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Ceibo Travel account — used in the Ceibo mobile app and on the Ceibo Travel website (www.ceibo.me) — and what happens to your data when you do.

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Ceibo app or website:

• ●Sign in to the Ceibo app or www.ceibo.me.
• ●Open your Profile, then go to Settings.
• ●Under the “Danger zone” section, select Delete account.
• ●Confirm. Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately and permanently.

If you cannot sign in, email hello@ceibo.me from the email address associated with your account, using the subject “Delete my account”. Once we verify your identity, we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes:

• ●Your account and login credentials: email address, sign-in identity, and password.
• ●Profile information: name, date of birth, and country of origin.
• ●Saved travel documents: passport, national ID, and driver’s license. Only the issuing country and expiration date are stored — document numbers are never collected.
• ●Saved trips and searches.
• ●Your conversation history with the in-app travel assistant.
• ●Notifications, notification preferences, and push notification tokens.
• ●Consents and any subscriptions.

This action cannot be undone.

After your account is deleted, a limited amount of data may be retained:

• ●Product analytics events: held by our analytics provider (PostHog), associated with a pseudonymous identifier and retained for up to 12 months. You can request their deletion sooner by emailing hello@ceibo.me.
• ●Encrypted backups: residual copies within our encrypted database backups are automatically purged within 30 days.
• ●Legal records: information we are legally required to keep, retained only for as long as the law requires.
